Nickelbeak Hollow strives make your business with us as easy at we possible can with the limitations we have, as such we have several options to get your purchased product(s) to you in as reasonable a way as possible. Not all products have the same options available for various reasons. This document is design to help you understand and make the correct selections for your purchase.
Some of the shipping option you may see are the following:
LOCAL PICKUP:
Many of our products can be picked up locally either at our Farm or at locations where we are often at for our day jobs in Ogden or West Jordan. We both work full time and farm full time…yes I know it’s exhausting. All local pickups need to be arrange ahead of time. We do have open hours and are not always available.
ALL FEED IS LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. We no longer sell feed.
LIVE POULTRY CAN ONLY BE PICKED UP IN MORGAN AT THIS TIME. It is not fair or good on the birds to arrange pickups in West Jordan or Ogden. Those locations do not have facilities we can reasonably keep them safely. If something happens and someone cannot come those birds may not survive for one reason or another and that is not fair to them. Due to our NPIP certification and BIOSECURITY measures once they leave they cannot return to our farm unless we can quarantine them for 30 days and we do not have facilities to do this.
MORGAN: Evenings and weekends are best but an appointment is still required. Due to our NPIP certification status the Morgan Location is under strict BIOSECURITY. I am sorry but you cannot tour the farm and see all the chickens. We have a designated pickup area that you can pull up to our workshop garage door. Please do not come in as we have incubators, hatchers, and brooders that are also under BIOSECURITY. We will arrange to bring purchased items or livestock to you. Please keep any children you have with you and inform them they cannot run around and see all the chickens. We understand how much fun this would be but we pay a lot to keep our certification and need to protect it.
OGDEN: (Near 31st Street): Generally one of us is Ogden on Mondays and occasionally other week days.
WEST JORDAN: (On 9000 South): One of us is in West Jordan most weekdays. With enough time to arrange we can bring items with us for you to come pickup from us.
DELIVERY
As a general rule WE DO NOT DO DELIVERIES! We simply do not have the time in the day. Occasionally if we know we are heading somewhere where we might be able to bring product with us we will make an announcement usually over our Facebook page and or other social media when available. So if you would like to follow Nickelbeak Hollow on Facebook you can be notified when this happens. We also may drop off stuff if we know we are going to be conveniently in your area but this is rare.
OverEZ FREE FREIGHT:
We sell Chicken coop and runs as well as other products sold by OverEZ Chicken Coops. These products are not stocked locally and are drop shipped directly to your door. OverEz includes this in the price of the coops and comes via freight carrier flat packed on pallets. This shipping is onnly availbel in the USA. THIS IS A CURBSIDE DELIVERY ONLY. THE FREIGHT COMPANY CANNOT DELIVER IT EXACTLY WHERE YOU MAY NEED IT. You can easily unpack it and with a couple people move it piece by piece to where you want to assemble it. It comes warped for inclement weather to stay protected.
LIFT GATE FEE: The freight company does not generally unload stuff. So if you are having it shipped to your house you will need to select and pay for the LIFT GATE FEE. This ensure the freight company puts it on a truck that has a lift gate that they can unload with a pallet jack for you. This is mandatory unless you have the equipment like a forklift to lift the pallet and place it. Other smaller OverEZ products may come via traditional shipping methods.
SHIPPING INCLUDED:
At this time any of products that we ship will be listed with options in the selection process for shipped or local pickup and the price will vary based on which you choose. In this case the shipping is already included in the price you see and no other shipping will be added at checkout. This what shipping included means.
CANADA SHIPPING:
We can ship to Canada. We have begun to adjust products with options for shipping to Canada. If a product you are interested does not show this option and you want to ship to Canada please let us know at 385-350-2787
USPS Priority 1-3 Day(live chicks)
We charge a flat rate of $89 (price subject to change without notice if needed) for sending a box of up to 20 chicks via USPS Priority Mail 1-3 day. (We have been told by USPS that all live chick are shipping EXPRESS automatically but we DO NOT have control of this.) Additional charges apply to orders over 20 chicks. Heat packs, Grogel, and feed are included with the cost of shipping. Please select only the shipping option for live chicks if you are having them shipped or local pickup if you are picking them up. If you see another option it is invalid.
Please order chicks separately from other shop items we cannot combine shipping methods for other items.
Ship dates provided at order are approximate and may change due to the complex nature of livestock production and/or environmental conditions beyond our control.
Please make sure you contact us via email [email protected] or text (385) 350-2787 for updates should your expected ship date be within one week and you haven’t received an update.
Delays can and do occur at any time and we do all we can to meet your order at the earliest possible date we can.
We do all we can to ship orders in the order in which they come in but due to the size and multiple breeds required for some orders we cannot guarantee all orders are shipped in chronological order. Should there be extended delays for your order and you’d prefer a credit for a later time please let us know so we can accommodate you as best we can. We do not refund on orders which can be filled but do issue credits.
HATCHING EGG SHIPPING:

Hatching eggs will be a flat rate of $30 for sending a box of eggs (Qty to be determined) via USPS Priority Mail 1-3 day. Additional charges apply to orders over the max capacity (TBD) Please select only the shipping option for hatching Eggs if you are having them shipped or local pickup if you are picking them up. If you see another option it is invalid. Please order eggs separately from other shop items. We cannot combine shipping methods for other items.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
We are attempting to make this as easy as possible and to avoid as much confusion as possible but we are small and do not have an entire programing team to make it as perfect as we would like. This is a work in progress. Right now you may see some or all of these options in checkout. If you are buying feed and picking up locally then any other items that we stock locally you can also pickup at the same time. In that case please select your best local pickup option. If you are buying poultry and picking up locally then it is the same but you will need to plan to pickup in Morgan only. If you are buying products with shipping included then select that option during checkout.
Again FEED IS LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. If you purchase feed and then select shipping included it will not be shipped to you. Local in Northern Utah area. If you are out of state and want feed I recommend looking at the Kalmbach Feeds website and see what distributors may be in your area. This may change later but for now this ia how it is. If you are not local and buy feed with shipping included we will have to refund you.
